SHOULD YOU TRUST YOUR HEALTH RECORDS TO GOOGLE AND MICROSOFT?
Imagine being able to check your medical history as
easily as checking your email. Or being able to provide your medical
records to a new doctor at a moments notice? Google, Microsoft and others
are developing a promising system for storing digital health records
for free.. BUT THERE'S A CATCH... (of course),
Both Google Health and Microsoft Health Vault deal with
our most perosnal information and while the two projects will eventually
enable doctors and hospitals to add records for hospitalizations, doctor
visits and prescriptions, (but only after you give your ok), and will
permit you to upload data from devices that you might use at home such
as blood glucose monitors.
The drawback, HIPPA, THE HEALTH INSURANCE PROTABILITY
AND ACCOUNTABILITY ACT, a federal law that governs the confidentiality
of health records DOESN'T EXTEND TO NON-HEALTH CARE COMPANIES..
Google and Microsoft are being careful for the most
part with regard to privacy here, but where my health records are concerned
I WANT LAWS THAT SPECIFICALLY DEFINE WHAT CAN AND CNA'T BE DONE WITH
MY INFORMATION. Both Google and Mircosoft are absent of these such laws
and we must rely on their good judgement.. Hmmmm, if an insurance company
offers either one a truckload of money for data, are you sure that there
isn't someone in one of those companies that just MIGHT BE TEMPTED??
Who can say, however i would rather rely on my USB Medical Device which
i have with me 24/7 . This device holds all my medical records and information
and there is only one person that can say who sees it... that person
is ME.
Faced with these potential gotchas, I would rather wait
for the systems and laws to be in place before I trust my records to
an online program. For me, I will stick with my USB EMR, I WOULD RATHER
BE SAFE, SECURE AND PRIVATE AND NOT HAVE MY PERSONAL DATA EXPOSED FOR
ALL THE WORLD TO SEE.....

This is our NEWEST addition to the SGMS
Family of USB EMR's.. It is the same thickness as your regular credit
cards, however it holds a very special USB Medi Chip. In addition to
holding all your medical records and x-rays, ekg's, mri's, ct scans,
lab tests, family history, your medications, allergies and the likes,
it can also store your credit card numbers, passport number, drivers
license numbers, insurance policies and important phots you want to
cherish forever.
Just like out other products, this credit card can
help save your life, and I don't think you can say that about
many credit cards today. And speaking of today's economy's downward
spiral, SGMS Corp wants to help too. So until Labor Day,
any of our 1 GIG Medi Chips will sell for only $29.95.. We at
SGMS Corp feel the pinch too and we are trying to help, All
of our products are available on our web site and thru our distributors
on E-Bay and other web sites..

BREAKING NEWS
JULY 15, 2008.. SGMS Au.
is moving forward in introducing our new Medi Chip to the trucking industry
in Australia. Seems like there are over 20,000 "18 Wheelers
" traveling the roads of Australia/New Zealand that are
in need of having their medical information along "for the ride".
Often there isn't any way to contact a doctor or family member while
on the road, and in an emergency the SGMS Medi Chip is their sole "LIFELINE"
.
Mr. Luke Van Kempen, our
Australian partner has been providing the trucking industry (and many
others) with cell phone and he has stated, "The SGMS Medi
Chip adds that missing link to the Cell Phone/GPS ability our phone
have, now we can provide not only pinpoint location but the detailed
medical history of the person too. It is amazing to me that more people
haven't been asking for more information about this amazing product"

Beginning September 1, 2008
SGMS Corp will start to store medical records on a "specially encrypted
server" for those of you that wish to do so. For a fee of $50.00
per year, you will be able to have your medical records encrypted (256/512
AES*) and made available at YOUR command. You will create a special
PIN number known only to you and the people that you give it to so that
you may access your records, fax them to anyone you wish, or have your
doctor or family member access them as well. This is NOT AN
ON LINE SERVICE, but rather a speccially encrypted server to
which you and only you have the "password" to.
This is being done at the request of many customers that
asked what if I lose my chip and can't remember all my information?
Remember you are the only one (other than those that you give
you PIN number to) that can access this information.
NOTE*: AES encryption is probably one
of the most secure encryption methods for keeping information secure
and has been approved by the CIA, FBI, Homeland Security and many other
agencies throughout the world. "June
2003 the U.S. Government (NSA) announced that AES is secure enough to
protect classified information up to the TOP SECRET
LEVEL, which is the highest security level and defined as information
which would cause "exceptionally grave damage" to national
security if disclosed to the public.
It has not been broken or cracked in over 13
years and remains today as a very secure way of storing information.
